This page is based on the organiser’s standard regulations and information currently published for the 2026 event.
No official regulations document for this event has been located. This working adaptation must be checked against the organiser’s final published rules.
1Organisation+
The Marginal Half Marathon and Marginal 10K form part of the Cascais–Oeiras–Lisboa event. Technical organisation and participant services are provided by Xistarca, with the support of the partner municipalities and the competent public authorities.
2Date and starting times+
The races take place on 8 November 2026.
- Half Marathon: 09:15 from Casino Estoril, Cascais.
- 10K: 09:00 from Praia de Santo Amaro, Saisa car park, Oeiras.
- Finish: Praça do Império, Belém, Lisboa.
3Distances and course+
Point-to-point coastal road race from Casino Estoril to Praça do Império.
Point-to-point road race from Praia de Santo Amaro to Praça do Império.
Participants must follow the marked course in full and obey the organisation, police, marshals and medical teams.
4Aid stations+
- Half Marathon: liquid at approximately 5.25 km, 10.5 km and 15.75 km; liquid and solid refreshments at the finish.
- 10K: liquid at approximately 5 km; liquid and solid refreshments at the finish.
5Time limits+
The official maximum race duration has not yet been published. Participants must maintain a pace compatible with road reopening and safety instructions.
6Registration+
Registration is subject to availability and payment.

Registration fees are non-refundable if the participant can no longer take part.
7Participant kit+
- Half Marathon: technical T-shirt, bib with timing chip, flask bottle, finisher medal and possible sponsor gifts.
- 10K: technical T-shirt, bib with timing chip, finisher medal and possible sponsor gifts.
Kit collection is scheduled for 6 and 7 November. Limited race-morning collection is available at each start from 08:00 to 08:30, subject to the published surcharge.
8Bib and timing chip+
The official bib and timing chip are mandatory. The bib must be visible on the front and may not be folded, altered, hidden or used by another person.
9Awards+
- Trophies for the first three overall male and female finishers in each race.
- Half Marathon overall vouchers: €125 / €75 / €50 for the first three male and female finishers.
- All official finishers receive a medal.
- Participation diplomas are available after the race.
- No age-category awards are currently announced.
10Conditions of participation+
Participation is open to properly registered runners who meet the organiser’s age and health requirements. Each participant is responsible for being physically and medically fit. Bicycles, skates, skateboards, unauthorised vehicles and animals are not allowed on the course.
11Age categories+
The organiser has not yet published detailed age-category classifications. The official registration and results platform will prevail.
12Unsporting conduct and disqualification+
A participant may be disqualified for false registration details, using another person’s bib or chip, failing to complete the course, ignoring instructions, deliberately obstructing others, manipulating the bib, using multiple chips or entering restricted areas.
13Safety and medical assistance+
Traffic and safety are coordinated with the competent authorities. Medical teams may assist or withdraw any participant who appears unable to continue safely.
14Insurance+
Registered participants are covered by mandatory sports personal-accident insurance under Portuguese law, subject to its terms and activation procedures.
15Image rights+
By registering, participants authorise the organisation and its partners to use images captured during the event for communication, promotion and archives, subject to applicable law.
16Personal data+
Personal data is processed for registration, timing, results, insurance, communication and event operations in accordance with the GDPR and applicable law.
17Participant-data changes+
Participant data and starting-block choices may be changed through the registration account until the organiser’s published deadline. Changes are not accepted on race day unless authorised.
18Anti-doping+
The organisation may refuse or cancel registrations linked to prohibited doping practices and may apply the relevant sporting and legal rules.
